We are blessed to be a vital congregation standing on the “Good News” of God’s grace and love. We are a Lutheran congregation that claims Jesus to be the center of all we do. We welcome all and invite you to join us in meeting the Risen Jesus in worship and ministry. We are dedicated to make disciples (Followers of Jesus), across the generations with real faith for real life.
We are a congregation in mission to reach out to all people living our mission as we serve those in need and love all people.
We draw people from all over the area from Star Valley to Alpine to Driggs, Victor and Moran. We have heartfelt worship inspiring messages, learning for all people, genuine servant love, and a deep sense of community.

Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), a part of the worldwide Lutheran Church body. We combine traditional catholic worship and sacramental life with an evangelical emphasis on a corporate and personal relationship with Jesus The Christ. We stress Martin Luther's "theology of the cross," the primacy of the Holy Scripture, and the traditional worship life of the Apostolic Church. The Church is a people created by God in Christ, empowered by The Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness to God's creative, redeeming, and sanctifying activity in the world. To participate in God's mission, this congregation, as a part of The Church: worships God, proclaims The Gospel, carries out Christ's Great Commission, serves, nurtures, and manifests the unity of The Body of Christ—The Church.
